Dear Mother #3 – Jan 31, 1926

This is the latest installment in a series of letters written by my grandfather Robert (born on Sept. 17, 1916) to his mother. If you are new, you will want to start with #1 or browse the archive.

In this letter Robert writes about changes at school, rain, and valentines.

Chico,
Jan 31, 1926
Sunday Monday night

Dear Mother,

Miss Yeager had the high fifth and low sixth. Miss Losee had the high sixth. The high fifth was so big that Miss Yeager was crowed. Miss Yeager traded the high fifth to Miss Losee for the high sixth. I am in Miss Losee’s room now. I think I will like her.

Miss McClard said the next time anyone was going to Woodland to tell her and she would pick a whole lot more for you.

Today it looked like it was going to rain but it just sprinkled a little bit after we were both home from school.

I made a whole lot of Valentines. I wish you could see them

Your son,
Robert
