Dear Mother #4 – Jan 22, 1927
This is the latest installment in a series of letters written by my grandfather Robert (born on Sept. 17, 1916) to his mother. If you are new, you will want to start with #1 or browse the archive.
This is a letter written by Robert’s older brother, Harry (born on Aug 7, 1913).
In this letter Harry writes about his unfinished project, playing cards and pool, candy, and a new radio.

Dear Mother,
I wish you were back here again but as it isn’t possible I hope you will be home soon.
I hope you will get along all right.
I have not finished with my magizine rack because Mr. Payne wouldn’t let us work because the H. 8th are working but I will fish finish before the term is over.
John and Jane came over with their mother and we played cards for a while and then John and I played three games of pool and he beat me once.
When daddy came home he brought a wooden box that looked like a little cedar chest and it was full of candy that Harry D sent over.
We might go to the Broadway this afternoon.
I saw Mrs. Hamilton yesterday and she wanted your address so she could write to you.
The lodge is going to get a radio for Mr. Nopel.
I hope you will be back soon
