Dear Mother #8 – Jan 27, 1927

This is the latest installment in a series of letters written by my grandfather Robert (born on Sept. 17, 1916) to his mother. If you are new, you will want to start with #1 or browse the archive.

In this letter Robert writes about school, singing, and flowers.

Chico,
Thurs. night
Jan. 27, 1927

Dear Mother,

I received my letter and Harry his. I think it is kind of hard for you to write so you just write one to all of us. We don’t care who it’s addressed to.

This afternoon we cleaned out our desks. We sang some nice songs. One was “Battle Hyms Hymn of the Republic.

We got out at two thirty again today. We don’t have to go back tomorrow morning.

In the afternoon we will get our repotr cards.

Your flower basket looks nice with China Lillies in it.

You asked about the hyacinths. I forgot to see wheather they had even come up or not.

We will write to you every day.

Your son
Robert
