Irv Carroll and his Orchestra

There is a shocking lack of information online about Irv Carroll and his humorous songs.

One of the few mentions was from the 3/14/1942 issue of The Billboard that stated that he just released his first single (Let’s All Snore) on his new Bluebird contract.

These two songs are from Bluebird 78rpm record #B-11346. My favorite is There Ain’t Any Chorus.

  1. fun stuff!

  2. I remember the 78 my parents had with the song “Let’s All Snore” (yes. a few years ago, I am 82).
We used to crank up the phonograph and play it over and over. I found it mentioned but can’t find any place to actually hear it. Is there such a place?

Thanks for any reply one way or another.

  3. Hi Joan,

Unfortunately I don’t have any more Irv Carrol in my collection, and I have also looked around the internet for any more audio files by Irv, but to no avail.

If I ever get my hands on any more of his 78′s I’ll be posting them.

  4. Thanks so much for getting back to me.
I wish now (I know – if wishes were horses – bla bla) but I do wish I still had those 78′s.
I really do appreciate your quick response.
